New Dinosaur

Hello! another day on the big wide world for me to sit and do pretty much nothing. Ooh i am hearing 'Shanice- i love your smile' in the background, always good to have a 90's moment. Anyways...

...so recently i got back into my interest on Prehistoric life..needless to say when i was 10 my eyes were glued to 'Walking with Dinosaurs' but that kind of lapsed for a little while. However my interest has once again been perked and i can safely say it is here to stay (wow look at me being a poet).

So off we scoot to China!

North China actually where apparently paleontoligists have discovered the skeleton of a new species of Dinosaur. The Dinosaur is believed to have lived 80 million or so years ago during the Cretaceous period. It was a carnivore, 2.5 metres long with a weight of 25kg and possessed large killing claws.

I dont think they have a name for it yet.

I find it pretty amazing how much we search yet still have to find. The other day i was looking on a website where a Scientist had found a new type of Ant, what i found more interesting though was that Ants had evolved from prehistoric Wasps!. Who knew...mind you after finding it out and thinking of Ants and Wasps general appearance it was kind of obvious haha.

Anyways time for me to go do something....make a cuppa maybe...bye x
